Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 7000 at Bitza Shaft Arena today. Fans from both teams had been eagerly awaiting this Bucuresti derby and were doing their best to outshout their opponents. Bitza had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. Lineup: Dicu – Niculae, Zamfirache, Dumitru, Filimon – Dragnea, Nitulescu, Pârlea, Smudchenko – Miasnikov, Tilimpea.
Studentesc started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. Lineup: Staicu – Melinte, Edvardsen, Ioan – Toftvang, Toma, Tone, Tobã, Ticu – Covrig, Henriksson.
Studentesc took the lead in the games 3rd minute with 0 – 1 after some elegant plays down the middle. Corneliu Covrig was the scorer. In the 8:th minute the visitors put themselves ahead 0 – 2 as Fredrik Henriksson finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick.
